Thomas J. Fredericksen's Obituary
Thomas Fredericksen "Tucker", a beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, May 7, 2024. He was 72 years old.
Tom was born on May 13, 1951 in Muskegon, MI, where he spent his formative years surrounded by love and laughter. He was known for his kind heart, unwavering integrity, and infectious sense of humor. His warm smile could light up any room, and his gentle presence brought comfort to all who knew him.
In his professional life, Tom was a Marine and a dedicated Pipefitter with the local 154, where he excelled through hard work and determination. His colleagues admired his expertise, reliability, and willingness to lend a helping hand whenever needed. He approached every task with diligence and a positive attitude, leaving a lasting impact on those he worked with.
Above all else, Tom cherished his role as a loving husband, father, and papa. He was a pillar of strength and support for his family, always putting their needs above his own. Whether it was helping with home improvement projects, attending his grandkids many sporting events, or simply sharing quality time together, Tom treasured every moment spent with his loved ones.
Outside of work and family, Tom had a passion for golfing. Whether he was gardening in his backyard, exploring nature with grandkids, or cheering on his favorite team, he found joy in the simple pleasures of life.
Tom will be deeply missed by his devoted wife Rebecca (Karnitz) Fredericksen, his loving children, Toby (Danielle) Fredericksen, Abbey (James) Harwood, Nathan (Brenda) Aerts, Matthew (Kelley) Aerts, and Season (Chris) Vanderwal, 13 grandchildren 2 great-grandchildren and all those who had the privilege of knowing him. Though he may no longer be with us in person, his memory will live on in the hearts of all who were touched by his kindness and compassion.
A celebration of Tom’s life will be held Sunday, May 19, 2024 at The Muskegon Polish Falcon Club from 2-4 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to The Cancer and Hematology Center of Muskegon in his honor.
