Thomas L. Griffin Jr.'s Obituary
Thomas L. Griffin Jr., age 74, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 29, 1949, to Thomas and Dannie (Rodgers) Griffin Sr. in Carthage, Mississippi. He graduated from Greer High School in 1968 and made his way to Muskegon, Michigan. Tom was a dedicated employee of Consumer Power, where he worked as an operator for numerous years before retiring in 2013. He had a passion for gardening and was blessed with a green thumb. Tom took pride in keeping his yard and garden in the most pristine condition. He will truly be missed by the many who knew and loved him. He is survived by his two sons, Tracey (Michele) Griffin and Maurice (Ruth) Griffin; six grandchildren, Tyler, Tanisha, Javin, Jeremiah, Hannah Griffin and Samantha (Jonathan) Tatman; three great-grandchildren, Azzaria, Louisa and Josiah; siblings, James Griffin, Darrell Griffin, Sandra Tate and Ruth (Willie) Fields. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Percy Griffin; and brother-in-law, Buford Tate. Thomas will be laid to rest in his hometown.
