Mr. Thomas "Tom" Olson's Obituary
Mr. Thomas “Tom” Olson, 69, passed away Saturday evening, June 6, 2015. He was born July 25, 1945 to Ingvar and Winifred (Holmes) Olson in Muskegon, and was a lifelong resident. Tom worked as a pattern maker for 30 years at Anderson Pattern before retiring, was a Vietnam U.S. Navy veteran, and had also owned and operated Top Notch Tree Service. He was a member of the Fruitport Eagles and the Fruitport Lions. Tom is survived by his wife Patricia; his son, Steven (Vicki) Olson; his granddaughter, Lynnea; his brother, Donald (Marie) Olson; and his sister, Diane Birchmier. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Barbara Newell. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, June 11, at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., (231) 798-1100, with Rev. Dr. Zawdie Abiade officiating. Visitation with Tom’s family will be from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM on Thursday.
