Thomas William Shields' Obituary
Thomas William Shields, age 57, of Grand Haven passed away Friday, February 21, 2020 in Muskegon, MI. He was born July 30, 1962, in Portsmouth, Virginia, to Paul Thomas and Joyce Marie (McCormick) Shields.
Tom graduated from Goodrich High School and served his country in the Army. He worked at numerous places as a tool and die maker. He loved working on things and helping those in need, hanging out with his friends, cooking, watching football, and most of all taking care of his family. Tom was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Grand Haven, had faith in the Lord and was a believer. He was also a member of the Tri-Cities Alano Club.
He is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Chantel Shields; his son, Jeshua Lane; grandson, Ryan Shields; brother, Charles (Marilina) Shields; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 14, 2020, at St. John’s Episcopal Church with Rev. Dr. Jared Cramer officiating.
