Streng family,
I worked with Tom at Careerline Tech Center. He was such a great guy to work with. I remember the time he offered us to use his dock on Big Star when we stayed near there one summer. He was such a generous and kind person. I’d see him on occasion at St. Pats and he’d always say hello and nod - I’ll miss seeing him! My sympathies to all of you.

Dear Friends and Family of Mister Streng:
During my seven years serving as the Ferry and Voyager School Principal, I was fortunate to have several interactions with Mr. Streng, mostly during his participation in our flag raising and lowering ceremonies commemerating the start and end of the school year respectively as a member of the American Legion Honor Guard. Additionally, given he lived right across the street from the school, we also had a few spontaneous "lawn chats".
I always found him to be so friendly and kind, just the kind of guy you would like to get to know better. I understand through his daughter, Kathleen, what a great dad he was. A true patriot, a proud Veteran, and a contributer to his community--including his various roles in the American Legion. An example to emulate!
Thank you, Mr. Streng, for your service to our nation and for helping to make our flag ceremonies so very special. Thoughts and prayers to the Streng family during this difficult time.
