Thomas L. Tuttle's Obituary
Thomas L. Tuttle, age 69, passed away Monday morning, August 14, 2017. He was born November 10, 1947 in Grand Haven, MI to Alfred and Matilda (Bronson) Tuttle. Tom was a graduate of Fruitport High School and had worked for Kaydon for 34 years before retiring. He was an active member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church and was a member of the Viking Lodge. Tom was an avid fisherman and enjoyed spending time on the water with his buddies. Along with his wife, Kathy, they ran the Goodwillies Bowling league at Northway Lanes. Tom never thought of himself as being or doing anything special, but the way he lived his life said otherwise. On October 7, 1998, he married the former Kathleen “Kathy” Dennis and she survives him along with his son, Lee Tuttle of Allendale; granddaughter, Shawna (Nick) Harrington; great-granddaughter, Lillian Harrington; brother, Dave (Sue) Tuttle; sister, Libby (Mark) Schultz; and the mother of his children, Connie Tuttle. He was preceded in death by 2 children: Theresa Keller and Douglas Tuttle; brothers: Carl and Randy; and sisters: Sandy, Elaine, and Donna. THE FUNERAL MASS will be Celebrated 2:00 PM Thursday, August 17, 2017 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Joe Fix presiding. VISITATION with the family will be from 5-8 PM Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at The Walburn Chapel, 1547 W. Sherman Blvd., (231) 759-8565 with the Rosary prayed at 5 PM. There will also be visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will take place in Egelston Twp. Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church Journey of Faith or the Mercy Health Johnson Family Cancer Center – Hospitality Fund will be appreciated.
