Thomas Gerard Wirtz's Obituary
Mr. Thomas Gerard Wirtz, age 64, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes at his home on Monday, October 12, 2020. He was born in Muskegon on September 6, 1956 to Raymond and Catherine (Scully) Wirtz and graduated from Muskegon Catholic High School, class of 1975. Tom was employed by East River Machine and Tool prior to his retirement in 2018. He enjoyed being outdoors and spending time at his property in Lake County hunting, fishing, and searching for mushrooms. Tom also enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews, especially teaching them to hunt and fish. He will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by his family; sisters, Theresa (Larry) Young and Margaret Lind; brother, Raymond Wirtz; many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and infant brother, Gerard Wirtz. According to Tom’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date.
