Thomas Lee Zeller's Obituary
Thomas L. Zeller, age 85, passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2025. He was born on March 30, 1939 in Muskegon to Orville and Emma (Lehmer) Zeller and was a life resident of the area. Tom served our county in the United States Air Force for over 8 years. Upon returning from service, he worked at Dresser Crane Factory as both a painter and crane assembler from the ground up.
Tom had a passion for gardening and cultivated an impressive garden. He also enjoyed playing games and cherished his coffee time with friends. Above all, Tom's greatest joy was spending time with and watching his grandchildren. He was a member of First Congregational Church in Fruitport and member of the American Legion.
On December 21, 1957, he married the former Nancy Robbins and together just celebrated 67 years of marriage.
SURVIVORS include his wife, Nancy; four children, Michele (Danny) Erxleben, Tammy (Kevin) Nelund, Melissa (Will) Semkiw, and Thomas (Jillynne) Zeller, Jr.; 12 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. Tom was preceded in death by seven siblings, Leo, Violet, Wilma, Velma, Bob, Jim and Virginia.
FUNERAL SERVICES for Tom will be 1PM Friday, January 17, 2025 at First Congregational Church (3212 E. Pontaluna Rd. Fruitport, MI 49415) with Pastor Michael Scott officiating. VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service, from 12-1:00 PM. Burial will take place at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Memorial Contributions to the Fruitport Fire and Police Department will be appreciated.
