Thomas Dale Wiser's Obituary
Mr. Thomas Dale Wiser, age 78, passed away Thursday afternoon, March 11, 2010 from injuries sustained in an auto accident this past Tuesday. He was born in Detroit on December 1, 1931 and resided on the east side of the state until coming to Muskegon in 1969. Mr. Wiser proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1949 to 1953. Tom was a systems analyst and prior to retiring in 2002 owned and operated Wiser Computers. Prior to starting his own company, Mr. Wiser had been employed at: G.M., Teledyne-Continental and Brunswick. He enjoyed boating, snowmobiling, deer hunting, golfing with friends and spending time with family. On November 24, 1983, he married the former Muriel Buys-Kops and she survives him along with: two sons, Steven (Melissa) Spring and John D. Spring both of Norton Shores; two step-children, Sheli (Rex) Vanderlinde of N. Muskegon and William (Shelley) Kops of Ravenna; nine grandchildren, Tom, Amy, Stacy, Amber, Corey, Sean, Jennifer, Evan and Ashley; five great grand-children and his father-in-law, Russell (Elaine) Buys of N. Muskegon. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at: The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100 3:00 P.M., Monday, March 15, 2010, Rev. Gerald Hagans officiating. Military Rites: under the auspices of the Muskegon County Council of Veterans will follow the memorial service. Memorial: for those desiring an expression of sympathy, please consider the, American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association. The family will greet friends beginning, one hour prior to the service.
