Thomas H. Klinger's Obituary
Mr. Thomas H. Klinger, age 69, passed away at his home with his family by his side Friday evening, December 21, 2007. Tom was born August 18, 1938 to Harold and Evelyn (Vegter) Klinger in Muskegon, and had lived all of his life in the Muskegon and W. Michigan area. He worked at Honeywell/Burdick and Jackson for 35 years before retiring, was a U.S. Army veteran, and a member of Ferrysburg Community Church. On October 1, 1965 he married the former Sharon TenHove. Tom’s family, especially his grandchildren, was the joy of his life. SURVIVORS include his wife Sharon of Spring Lake; 2 daughters, Susan Peterson of Montague, Sandra (Jeff) Valk of Holland; 5 grandchildren, Matt, Dave, Kaitlyn, Kyle, and Chase; brothers and sisters, June (Fred) Hall of Spring Lake, Jack (Carol) Klinger of Grand Rapids, Chuck (Judy) Klinger of Muskegon, Jerry (Lois) Klinger of Muskegon; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers, Roger and Gordon Klinger. A celebration of Tom’s life will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, December 27, at the Ferrysburg Community Church, 17785 Mohawk Dr., with Pastor Nate Visker officiating. Visitation with the family will be held 1 hour prior to the service at the church.
