Thomas J. Myers' Obituary
Thomas J. Myers, age 57, of Fruitport, died Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor. He was born on July 20, 1952 in Streator, IL to Donald O’Neill and Margaret Agnes (Trainor) Myers and married the former Georganne Negray on August 6, 1977 in Streator, IL.
Tom had been employed by the Department of Defense and retired earlier this year after 30 years of service. He was an active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, enjoyed boating and being with his family.
Tom is lovingly survived by his wife, Georganne; a daughter, Kristin M. Myers of Spring Lake; a son, Ryan T. Myers of Spring Lake; two sisters, Peggy (Dennis) O’Keefe of LaSalle, IL, and Katie Read of Bloomington, IL; three brothers: David (Wendy) Myers of Lemont, IL, Patrick (Jae) Myers of Pewaukee, WI, and Mike Myers of Chicago; a sister and brother-in-law, Connie Riordan of Bloomington, IL, and George Negray of Hollywood, CA; and several nieces and nephews. Tom was preceded in death by his mother, and mother and father-in-law.
The Funeral Liturgy for Tom will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, December 5, 2009 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Rev. Daniel DePew as celebrant. Friends may meet the family at Church from 9:30 a.m. until service time and following the service. Memorials to ALPHA 1 Foundation or JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) are appreciated.
