Thomas L. Larsen's Obituary
Mr. Thomas L. Larsen, age 72, passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2006 at his home. He was born June 12, 1934 in Muskegon Heights, MI to Albert and Patricia (Murikes) Larsen and had been a resident of the area his entire life. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force having served his country during the Korean War. On July 17, 1954, he married the former Jean M. Schwanke in Muskegon. Mr. Larsen was the president of Dilesco Corp. for 13 years and retired in 1997. He was an active member of the Vikings Lodge and the Serra Club. He was also a member of St. Francis deSales Catholic Church. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Jean; 4 children, Michael (Mary Kay) Larsen of Owosso, MI, Thomas (Paula) Larsen of Los Angeles, CA, Steven Larsen of Scottsdale, AZ, Lisa Larsen of Norton Shores; 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Willard (Bev) Larsen of Austin, TX; 1 niece, Mary Lyn Bratherton of Fruitport; 2 cousins, Jim Larsen of Boyne City, MI, Beverly Wamsley of Sawyer, MI; and special friends, Harry and Donna Johnson, Art and Kathy Sierminski, Pat and Joyce Kelley, Joe and Donna Poliski. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Pat Larsen. THE MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be celebrated 11:00 AM Friday, October 6, 2006 in The Marian Chapel of St. Francis deSales Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Thomas G. Simons as celebrant. ENTOMBMENT will take place at St. Mary’s Mausoleum. VISITATION with Mr. Larsen’s family will be 5-8 PM Thursday at The Walburn Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 1547 W. Sherman Blvd. (231)759-8565. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to Mass, 10-11 AM Friday in The Marian Chapel of St. Francis deSales.
