Thomas M. LaBelle's Obituary
Mr. Thomas M. LaBelle, age 60, passed away early Tuesday morning, May 3, 2011 in Grand Rapids. He was born November 30, 1950 to Russell and Beatrice (Dann) LaBelle in Muskegon, and was a life resident. Tom was the owner of Custom Marine Metal Products until retiring, and also had worked as a welder for different area businesses over the years. He was an avid sailor, hunter, and fisherman, and also enjoyed amateur Hamm Radios. On May 11, 2001 Tom married Alice K. Snyder, and she survives him along with 3 children,Thomas (Ann) LaBelle, Jr. of Muskegon, Christopher (Alyson Rosema) LaBelle of Muskegon, Andrea (Craig) Douglas of Kalamazoo; 2 step-children, Patrick Wildfong, II of Muskegon, Myndi (Sam) Houston of Alpena; 3 granddaughters, Corinne, Ashley, and Sherry; his mother, Beatrice LaBelle of Muskegon; 1 brother, Russell LaBelle of NC; 2 sisters, Margaret (Tony) Winkler of Muskegon, Janice Sanborn of OH. He was preceded in death by his father. A celebration of Tom’s life will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, May 7, at The Walburn Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 1547 W. Sherman Blvd. (231) 759-8565 with the Rev. Fr. Anthony Pelak officiating. Visitation with the family will be 1 hour prior to the service.
