Timothy W. Addicott's Obituary
Timothy Wayne Addicott, age 75, passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2022, at his residence in Norton Shores, MI. Timothy was born on November 18, 1946, in Muskegon, MI, to his parents John and Evelyn (Johnson) Addicott. He graduated from Muskegon High School and went on to receive his bachelor’s from Grand Valley State University. He worked for 40 years in sales at Shaw-Box Crane / Lift-Tech before retiring in 2007. On March 30, 1984, he married the former Susan M. Ruud in Muskegon, MI, and they spent 38 wonderful years together. Timothy enjoyed golfing, reading, and playing rummikub with friends Joan and Harold Dickert. He enjoyed traveling, and him and Susan enjoyed many special trips together, their favorites being to Hawaii and Ireland. He was a longtime member at St. Francis de Sales and was also a member of Viking Linne Lodge #57. He was a talented woodworker, and he made many lovely pieces, including a jewelry cabinet for Sue. His favorite pastime was spending time with his family. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Sue Addicott; two children: Todd (Stacey) Addicott and Tracy (Bill) Barkhausen; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; mother in-law, Emily Ruud; four brothers in-law: Doug Ruud (Jeff Comstock), John Ruud (Kurt Moore), Joe Ruud, Michael (Janet) Ruud; and several nieces and nephews. A FUNERAL MASS will be taking place at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 25, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. VISITATION will be taking place on Wednesday, August 24 from 5:00-7:00 PM at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St, Norton Shores, MI, 49444, as well as an hour before the mass at church. A PRAYER VIGIL will take place Wednesday night at 7:00 PM at The Lee Chapel following visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made out to The Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
