Timothy R. Hoekenga's Obituary
Timothy R. Hoekenga, 21, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, October 12, 2014. Tim was born September 14, 1993 in Big Rapids, and had lived in Connecticut before recently returning to the Muskegon area. He was known for his music, performing as a DJ at many events, and traveling. He also enjoyed sharing his sense of humor with his friends and family. Tim is survived by his mother Anne Hoekenga; 2 brothers, David (Rhonda) Hoekenga, Dennis (Terri) Hoekenga; many aunts, uncles, cousins, his kitten Lilly, and his girlfriend Briana Overla. He was preceded in death by his father Mark E. Hoekenga in 2012. A time of gathering with Tim’s family will be Wednesday evening, October 15, from 5-7 PM in the Lee Chapel Family Center of Sytsema Funeral Homes, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores. Tim’s memorial service will be 2:00 PM Thursday, October 16 with Pastor Ron Amos officiating, also at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the New Heart Community Church.
