Timothy Edward Walker Sr.'s Obituary
Timothy Edward Walker Sr, age 76, passed away on Monday, January 2, 2023, in Muskegon, MI. Timothy was born in Muskegon, MI, on July 3, 1946, to his parents William “Albert” and Rachel (Vanderwest) Walker. After graduating from high school Timothy was proud to serve in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War, where he was stationed on the USS Okinawa helicopter carrier. Shortly after returning to the U.S. he married the former Sherri White, and they spent 54 wonderful years together before he passed. Timothy was a hard worker, working for 32 years as a machinist in the Hy-Lift Division of Sealed Power. Tim loved to spend time outside, whether it was hunting, camping, fishing at Nichol’s Lake with his son Timothy Jr. or golfing at Northwood Golf Course in Fremont with his son Brian. Timothy was a very social person and he could start a conversation with anyone and was quick to smile and laugh. He loved to spend time with his wife and his family, and he was always there when you needed him. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife: Sherri Walker; two sons: Timothy (Kelly) Walker Jr. and Brian (Anita) Walker; four grandchildren: Audrey Walker, Joel Walker, Eli Walker, and Emma Walker; sister, Carol Robidoux; and good friend, Dick Stuhan. He was preceded in death by his parents and twelve siblings. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, January 9, 2023, at Fellowship Reformed Church in Muskegon. There will not be a time of public visitation before the service, but there will be a time of refreshments immediately afterwards.
