Timothy A. Quaine's Obituary
Mr. Timothy A. Quaine, age 63, passed away peacefully Tuesday evening at his home, following a short, but courageous battle with cancer. Tim was born January 22, 1947 in Highland Park, MI to Thomas and Elizabeth (Roe) Quaine, and moved to the Muskegon area from Canton, MI in 1994. He worked at Cloverdale Equipment before retiring, and was a Vietnam U.S. Army veteran. He belonged to the V.F.W. Post in Canton, and also the Grand Haven American Legion. Tim enjoyed boating and was a member of Grand Isle Marina, and was an avid Detroit Red Wings fan. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, and playing cards with his family. On March 6, 1970 he married Linda M. Hansen in Farmington Hills, MI, and she survives him along with 3 children, Kelly M. (Mark) Stevens of Charlotte, NC, Christine M. (Steve) Thorn of Osceola, IN, Daniel P. (Erin) Quaine of Norton Shores; 6 grandchildren, Lilly J. Thorn, Katherine E. Stevens, Gracie L. Thorn, Mallory C. Quaine, Daniel P. Stevens, Lucy E. Quaine; and 1 grandson due in July; 2 brothers, Thomas M. Quaine and Brian E. Quaine, both of Canton; many nieces and nephews. THE MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Saturday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Spring Lake, with the Rev. Fr. Daniel R. DePew presiding. VISITATION at The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St. (231) 798-1100 will be from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Friday.
