Timothy Felix Kobera's Obituary
Mr. Timothy F. Kobera, age 65, passed away Friday, February 6, 2009 at his home. Tim was born July 14, 1943, to Felix and Dorothy (Rantanen) Kobera in Sault Ste. Marie, MI. He graduated from North Muskegon High School and served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Tim worked at Clarke Floor Machine and John Darien Homes. Tim’s passion in life was creating and developing his beautiful “Wind Haven Farm” for wildlife, friends, and loved ones with his good friend, Gordon “Bud” Hilt. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman, which took him on many travels. His survivor’s include his son, Ryan E. (Chrystal) Kobera of NC; 5 grandsons and 1 granddaughter; brother, Fred (Mary Ann) Kobera of DeWitt, MI; 4 sisters, Bonita Cravens of CA, Marcie (Alex J.) Chingman of Muskegon, Linda (Michél) LaCombe of Quebec, and Sandra (Tom) Evans of Shelby Twp., MI; many nieces and nephews; and his life-long friend, Fred Weichner. Tim was a longtime member of Holton United Methodist Church, 9530 Holton Duck Lake Rd., where a service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, February 13, 2009 with Rev. Jerry Selleck officiating. FULL MILITARY RITES will be under the auspices of the V.F.W. Muskegon County Council. VISITATION will be one hour prior to the service (12 Noon-1PM) at the church.
