Tineke T. Cooper's Obituary
Tineke Tryntje Cooper, age 84, passed away on Friday, October 8, 2021, in Twin Lake, Michigan. Tineke was born on April 24, 1937, to her parents, Peter and Martha (Wierenga) Horsting, in the Netherlands. After World War II she immigrated to the United States, settling down in Holland, Michigan. She worked as a medical assistant in Muskegon before moving to Garden Grove, California, where she worked as a barber for many years before returning to West Michigan. Tineke could often be found knitting and crocheting intricate afghan blankets and slippers. She was an avid reader who also enjoyed playing bingo and making crafts. Tineke loved to socialize with her friends, but the people she most enjoyed spending time with were Sophia and River and all her other great-grandchildren. Tineke will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Michelle (Charlie) Stone; two granddaughters: Angelee (Dennis) Carr and Desiree (Matt) Anderson; many great-grandchildren; and two brothers: John (Gesine) Horsting and Bert (Betty) Horsting. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Cooper; son, Michael Craft; and two brothers: Jerry and Peter Horsting. A memorial visitation for Tineke will be taking place from 5:00-7:00 PM on Wednesday, October 13 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services (6291 Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444).
