Tom Peter Pallas' Obituary
Tom Peter Pallas, age 88, passed away on Wednesday June 7, 2023. He was born August 31, 1934, to Peter and Julia (Toumbano) Pallas in Marquette, MI. Tom was a veteran of the United States Army. After returning home, he married his wife, Nina Moulatsiotis, on August 27, 1961, in Marquette, MI. Tom had a passion for teaching and worked for 32 years as a middle school teacher for Fruitport Public Schools. He also taught Drivers’ Education for many years and founded the Fruitport Varsity Football Program. Tom had a passion for hunting, fishing, and bowling, even owning his own bowling alley – The Michigan Bowling Center in Downtown Muskegon. He was a longtime member of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church where he served on the board and as a member of AHEPA on both a local and state level. Tom loved his family very much and will be missed by SURVIVORS: wife, Nina Pallas; 5 children: Peter (Sally) Pallas, William (Jodi) Pallas, George (Kay) Pallas, Julia (Jeff) Hyland, and Toni McCabe; 9 grandchildren: Paige (Jordan) Raiford, Thomas (Aleece) Pallas, Joseph Pallas, Jacklyn Pallas, Nicholas (Kayleigh) Pallas, Erica Pallas, Kyle Pallas, Delaney McCabe, and Conner McCabe; 4 great grandchildren: Vail, Leighton, Violet, and Wesley. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Paul Pallas and George Pallas. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at 10:00am Monday, June 12, 2023 at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church (185 E Pontaluna Rd, Muskegon, MI 49444) with Fr. Joseph Gingrich presiding. VISITATION will be held from 4-6pm Sunday at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St, Norton Shores, MI 49444 where the Trisagion Service will be held at 6:00 PM Sunday evening.
