Tom R. Bell's Obituary
Tom R. Bell, age 64, passed away at home unexpectedly early Tuesday morning. He was born in Muskegon on August 13, 1947 to Robert T. and Henrietta (Gelderloos) Bell and was a graduate of Muskegon Heights H.S. Tom was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was a former police officer for the City of Muskegon. Prior to his retirement in 2007, Tom was employed as a letter carrier for the Muskegon Postal Service for 30 years. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, the Muskegon Vets Club and enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle. Tom married the former Penny Clark Posvistak on March 27, 2001 and she survives him along with a step-daughter, Heather (Tina) Posvistak; step-son, Kevin (Kelly) Posvistak; three grandchildren, Griffin, Chase and Isabelle; sister, Sharon (Tom) Cole of Muskegon and his beloved dog Sammie. The funeral service will be held at: The Lee Chapel 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100, 11:00 A.M., Saturday, August 27, 2011, Rev, David Selleck officiating. Visitation: Friday, 5-8 P.M. Interment: Lakeside Cemetery. Memorial Contributions: Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital.
