Tony Tourre's Obituary
Mr. Tony Tourre, age 88, died Tuesday, April 19, 2005 in Muskegon. He was born on June 10, 1916 to Dominic & Josephine (Sindone) Tourre, and had resided in Muskegon all of his life. Mr. Tourre was a Veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps, having served in WWII. He had owned and operated Dub’l TT Auto Sales, and worked at Mars Cars, and Eklund Ford in Whitehall, as cars were his life. Mr. Tourre had also owned Tourre’s Auto Trim. On August 28, 1937 he married the former Phyllis Wiersma, and she preceded him in death on March 3, 1988. SURVIVORS include daughter, Toni (Rick) Bialik of Norton Shores; son, Jack (Linda) Tourre of Elkhart, IN; 5 grandchildren, Kellie Yoder, Shannon Tourre, Mike (Nancy) Tourre, Marissa (Eric) Fischer and Gina Bialik; 4 great grandchildren; 5 sisters, Pauline Shipman of Holland, Violet Tourre of Muskegon, Marguerite Boyd of Muskegon, Stella Wasserman of Muskegon, Elizabeth “Betty” LeBlanc of Holland; and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Tourre was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, Frank and Steve, and 1 sister, Mary. MEMORIAL SERVICES will be 12 PM Friday at The Walburn Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 1547 W. Sherman Blvd. 231-759-8565. VISITATION with the family will be 2-4 & 6-8 PM Thursday. Burial will take place in Restlawn Cemetery. Memorial Contribution to Heartland Hospice and Salvation Army will be appreciated.
