Tony VanDonkelaar's Obituary
Mr. Tony R. VanDonkelaar, age 54, passed away early Monday morning, June 28, 2004 at his home. He was born December 6, 1949 to Gerritt and Mildred (Steadman) VanDonkelaar in Muskegon, and was a life resident. He had worked for 18 years at X-Rite. Some of his favorite things in life were his grandchildren and his garden. On June 28, 1985 he married the former Barbara J. Wilde. SURVIVORS include his wife, Barb; 4 children, Steve (Cheryl) Lieffers of Muskegon, Jeff (Shawn) Lieffers of Ravenna, Todd (Lisa) VanDonkelaar of Ravenna, Michele (Norm) Wirsing of California; 6 grandchildren, Jon, Brooke, Lillian, Nicholas, Autumn, and Jessica; a special nephew and niece; Justin and Amber; his father and mother; Gerritt and Mildred VanDonkelaar of Muskegon; 1 sister, Carol (Tim) Mertz of California; 2 brothers, Terry (Sharon) VanDonkelaar of Muskegon, John (Janice) VanDonkelaar of Ohio; many other nieces and nephews. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday at The Lakes Community Church of the Nazarene, 2270 S. Mill Iron, with Rev. Thomas A. Parks officiating.
