Tonya Kay Newton's Obituary
Tonya Kay Newton, age 63, passed away unexpectedly Saturday September 5, 2015 surrounded by her family. She was born October 28, 1951 in Muskegon to Eldren and Maxine (Stark) Gibbs. Tonya married her husband of 45 years Joseph Newton on July 18, 1970. She worked 14 years for WESCO before retiring in 2010. She loved spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. SURVIVORS include her husband Joseph; 3 daughters: Tonya (Chris) Karchinski, Jody (Fred) Decker, Jamie (Andres) Garza; 12 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; 4 sisters; 4 brothers; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Daniel Gibbs. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Friday, September 11, 2015 at the Lakes Community Church of the Nazarene (2270 S. Mill Iron) with Rev. Lonnie Newton officiating. VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family will be appreciated.
