Tony L. Zagaroli's Obituary
Mr. Tony L. Zagaroli, age 78, passed away Monday morning, April 26, 2004 at his home. He was born April 29, 1925 in Muskegon to Joseph and Ellena (Boccia) Zagaroli and lived in the area his entire life. He graduated from Muskegon High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Force having served during WWII. On June 6, 1953, he married the former Anne Marie Kane in Muskegon and she survives him. Mr. Zagaroli was the co-owner of Zagaroli Furniture Company from 1947-1987 when he retired. He was also employed by the State of Michigan as the Chief Inspector for the Athletic Board of Control overseeing boxing in the state. He was a long-time member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. SURVIVORS include his wife, Anne Marie; son, Mark (Linda) Zagaroli and their children, Drew and Eric, of Bloomington, IL; daughters, Gina (Ken Rosenberg) Zagaroli and their children, Anthony, Hannah, and Therese of Kalamazoo, Annette Zagaroli of Tucson, AZ; and his brother, Joseph Zagaroli of Muskegon. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and 2 sisters. THE FUNERAL LITURGY will be celebrated 11:00 AM Thursday, April 29, 2004 at St. Francis deSales Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Julian Reginato presiding. INTERMENT will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery. VISITATION will be held 5-8 PM this evening at The Walburn Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 1547 W.
