Trena "Auntie" Pluger's Obituary
Miss Trena Pluger, age 90, went to be with her Lord Thursday morning, November 4, 2004. She was born December 16, 1913 in Muskegon to Paul & Anna (Stuivenga) Pluger; and had been a life resident. She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 brother, Edward Pluger, with whom she ran the family owned “Pluger’s Grocery”. Following the store closing, in 1959, Trena went to work at the DeVries Food Market and then, in 1979, retired from CWC Foundry. Trena was a life member of Allen Ave. Christian Reformed Church and had been a member of its Lydia Guild and Mary & Martha Circle. She was also a member of the “Rug Club” for Muskegon Christian School. SURVIVORS include her sister-in-law, Bernice Pluger; 1 nephew, Lewis (Connie) Pluger and 2 nieces, Karen (Ray) Panozzo and Lois (Jim) Faulknor, all of Muskegon; great-nieces and nephews, Jeff Faulknor, Brian (Doris) Faulknor, Patti (Ken) Vallier, Paul Pluger, Keith (Teresa) Panozzo, Mandy (Mike) Seiferlein, Jennifer Panozzo (fiancé Mike Chupailo) & Michelle Panozzo and by great-great-nephews, Carl and David Vallier and great-great-niece, Mariah Panozzo. SERVICES will be 11AM Monday at Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 737 Apple Avenue, Muskegon, MI 49442, 231-726-5210 with the Rev. Robert Bierenga officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. VISITATION with Trena’s family will be 3-5PM Sunday. For a more lasting memorial you are asked to consider Hospice of Muskegon–Oceana or Muskegon Christian Schools.
