Tressa "Nana" Martineau's Obituary
Mrs. Tressa “Nana” Martineau, age 92, passed away Sunday morning, May 8, 2005, in Whitehall. She was born October 8, 1912 to George and Rena (Medema) Goosen in Muskegon and was a life resident of the area, wintering in Florida for 27 years. Mrs. Martineau was a member of the Northside Seniors and loved to travel, especially on bus trips. On August 8, 1951, she married Raymond P. Martineau in Muskegon. He preceded her in death on November 20, 1981. SURVIVORS include her daughter, Marcia (Gary) Payne of Twin Lake; 2 grandchildren, Tod Harman of Muskegon, Laurie (Richard) Drzewicki of North Muskegon; 4 great-grandchildren, Megan, Beth, Leah, Kyle; brother, Clarence (Joyce) Goosen of Texas; 3 sisters-in-law, Marg Goosen of North Muskegon, Doris Goosen of Muskegon and Vivian Goosen of Holton. She was also preceded in death by her son, Douglas Szymczyk; a granddaughter, Sheri; 4 brothers, George, Henry, Edward, Richard; and a sister, Barbara Visscher. SERVICES will be 11:00 AM Wednesday at Twin Lake United Methodist Church (5940 Main) with Rev. Jonathan Rager officiating. Entombment will be in Sunrise Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. VISITATION will be from 7-9 PM this evening at
