Troy Robert Morin's Obituary
Mr. Troy Robert Morin, age 40, passed away Thursday, November 21, 2013 at University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor. He was born December 5, 1972 in Muskegon to Robert G. and Cathy J. (Whitaker) Morin, Jr. and lived most of his life in the area. Troy was the owner and operator of WaterPro Irrigation Company the past 15 years. He was baptized at the former Central Lutheran Church. Troy enjoyed the great outdoors, deer camp, bonfires, and spending time with his cousins. He loved big family gatherings. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed all sports, especially softball and soccer. Troy was a friend to all, who loved to laugh. His kids were the center of his life and he spent much of his free time cheering them on at their activities. SURVIVORS include his parents, Rob and Cathy Morin of Norton Shores; 6 children, Corey Morin of Cincinnati, OH, Alyssa Morin, Caiden Morin, Alana Morin, Ava Morin and Aurora Morin all of Muskegon; 1 sister, Heather (Brad) Cross of Twin Lake and their children, Logan and Kyla Cross; grandparents, Shirley Whitaker of North Muskegon and Robert G. Morin, Sr. of Muskegon; exchange student "siblings," Audrey Muys of France, Becky Smith of Australia, Stella Bandiera of Brazil, Romain Mexis of France, and Joakim "Yo" Einarsson of Sweden; the mothers of his children, Bethany Dearwester of Cincinnati and Dawn Goodwin of Muskegon; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and lots of friends. Troy was preceded in death by his grandfather, Darrell “Gramps” Whitaker, his grandmother, Beverly Morin, and his special cousin, Corrie Robbins. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 2:00 PM Monday, November 25, 2013 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 South Harvey St., (231) 798-1100. VISITATION will be held 5-8 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
