Trudi J. (Medendorp) Sobers' Obituary
Mrs. Trudi J. (Medendorp) Sobers, age 42, passed away very suddenly on Friday, April 30, 2010. She was born July 5, 1967 in Muskegon to Robert and Corrine (Cranston) Medendorp and lived her entire life in the area. She married Duane A. Sobers in Muskegon on November 2, 1996 and he survives her. She was currently employed as an insurance agent for Matt Crosby State Farm Insurance where she had worked the past 10 years. Previously, she worked in restaurant management. She regularly attended Fifth Reformed Church and was a member of the Muskegon Heights Eagles. Along with her husband, Duane, she is also survived by her son, Sean C. Sobers; her parents, Robert and Corrine Medendorp; her mother-in-law, Nita Sobers; 3 sisters, Lorrine A. (Charles) Wright, Nancy R. (Randall) Hodits, Julie E. (Joseph) Kollaritsch; 1 sister-in-law, Dawn Sobers; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Floyd Sobers. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at Fellowship Church (4200 E. Apple) with Pastor Greg Vander Meer officiating. INTERMENT will take place at Spring Lake Cemetery. VISITATION with Trudi’s family will be 2-4 and 6-8 PM Tuesday at The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St. (231) 798-1100. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to the service, 12-1 PM Wednesday at the church. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be directed to Fellowship Church Memorial Fund.
