Mrs. Ursula Emile Krause's Obituary
Mrs. Ursula Emile Krause, age 88, went home to her dear Lord on Thursday morning, May 23, 2013. She was born November 30, 1924 in Oppeln, Germany. She came to the United States in 1953 where she eventually settled in Detroit, MI, and there she met and married the love of her life, LeRoy T. Krause. He preceded her in death on April 13, 2012. Ursula prior to coming to the US worked as a Dental Assistant for the US Army, and continued here after her arrival in the US. She soon became a stay-at-home wife and mother where she shined her brightest. Ursula lived a fairy tale life in Lost Lake Woods in Lincoln, MI for 30 years. She was an avid skier and knitter. She was the perfect cook, kept a pristine house, and she loved entertaining family and friends. No one did it better. Ursula and her husband LeRoy were sponsors to many local pageants and the ultimate, The Miss Michigan Pageant, where they acquired many beautiful friendships and supported hundreds of young girls’ dreams. She worked backstage for 15 years. Her greatest joy was her wonderful son Tom. Tom and his wife Sandi gave her four wonderful grandchildren that she spoiled and cherished. She is survived by her devoted son, Tom (Sandi) Krause; cherished grandchildren: Heather (Troy) Foster, Candice Krause (Bob Dezeeuw), Tommy Krause, Nick Krause; and also her beloved great-grandchildren: Cassidy, Ashley and Austin Foster and Bianca and Thaddeus Krause. Her biggest love and enjoyment was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held for Mrs. Krause Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at 10:00 A.M. at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey Street, Norton Shores, MI 49444, phone 231-798-1100 with Pastor William Uetricht officiating. VISITATION will be from 9 to 10 AM Tuesday. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS to The American Red Cross would be appreciated.
