Vada Lee Fortune's Obituary
Vada Lee Fortune age 87, of Ravenna died Thursday, July 11, 2013 at Meadowlark Assisted Living surrounded by her loving family.
Vada was born on February 20, 1926 to the late Alexander and Leah (Cone) Brant. She married Edward Fortune on June 16, 1951 in Midland, Michigan and he preceded her in death on June 30, 2003. She was a teacher for Ravenna Public Schools until her retirement. She was also a member of Ravenna United Methodist Church and Lovells Community Church.
Vada is survived by her Son: Jeffrey (Susan) Fortune of Ravenna 2 Grandchildren: Brant and Audrey. 1 Sister: Shirlee (Gerald) Townsend of Midland. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Vada L. Fortune will be conducted on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at 11:00am at the Throop Funeral Home of Ravenna with Pastor Mary Ivanov officiating. Burial will be in Ravenna Township Cemetery.
The family will be at the funeral home on Monday, July 15, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00pm to receive friends and again on Tuesday 1 hour prior to services.
