I grew up 2 houses down from Mrs. Davis & loved having her for a neighbor those 18 years. I have the fondest memories of her letting me walk with her and her dogs up& down the road, learning how to train a dog (she used cut up hot dogs in her pockets) and playing Yahtzee. ❤️ thank you for always making me feel welcome, strong and smart.

All our special memories of Val include her love for Nick and Zach. Over the years summer time included our trips with Val to Brookfield Zoo in Chicago, Walt Disney, and family holidays with Val’s chili.

I’m sorry to hear of Val’s passing. I’m glad she is no longer suffering. I grew up on Airline Rootbeer chili dogs and barbecues. I can say that her recipes were perfection! She was always so nice and welcoming when she ran the restaurant. Over the years, she would gift barbecue and chili dog sauce to my mother and it was a great treat. Sending hugs to all that loved her.
