Valerie A. Weekley's Obituary
Valerie Ann Weekley, age 77, passed away in Twin Lake, MI, on Sunday, June 1, 2025. Valerie was born on September 13, 1947, to Earl and Beryl (Frost) Weekley in Flint, MI. She worked a variety of jobs throughout her life, including at a chiropractic clinic, Health Hutt, Meijer, and in-home dialysis. She loved spending time outside, especially going on walks and working in her vegetable garden. She loved watching movies, especially Bollywood films, and one of her favorite pastimes was dancing with friends and belly dancing. She was generous with her time, volunteering throughout her life with Special Olympics and People Against Cancer. Valerie was a feisty, loving person who would never judge others and was happy to help anyone however she could.
Valerie will be lovingly remembered by her three children: Anissa Hall, Joseph (Joanna) Lasser, and Chris (Nicole) Peña; and seven grandchildren: Tristan, Madeline, Macy, Max, Brendan, Christopher, and Kade. She was preceded in death by two sons, Ian and Eric Godbold; husband, David Thompson; parents, Earl and Beryl Weekley; and two siblings, Fred (Joan) Weekley and Debbie Ann Weekley. The family would like to extend special thanks to Val’s best friends, Rose Smith and Robin (Jim Booth) Ward, for all their care over the year.
