Velma J. Gomez's Obituary
Velma J. Gomez, age 82, passed away Friday, July 5, 2019 in Ludington. She was born on October 4, 1936 to George and Rose (Bowers) Gibes in Muskegon. Velma was a women that knew what she wanted, but also was very private at times. She worked as a bookkeeper for several companies both home and out of state. She enjoyed traveling, sewing and reading. SURVIVORS include her children, Tanya (Bob) Cornett, Camillo Jr. “Chico” (Camy) Gomez, Jeannie (Joel) Soliz, Georgia Gomez and Jerry Fenningsdorf, Tony (Tamara) Gomez and Stanley Gomez; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Kathy Warner, Audrey Williams, Beverly Austin and Mary Beard. Velma was preceded in death by her husband, Camillo Gomez. A MEMORIAL VISITATION with the family will take place 6-8PM Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 737 E. Apple Ave., 49442, 231-726-5210.
