Velma L. McPhall's Obituary
Mrs. Velma McPhall, age 94, died Wednesday, January 26, 2005, in Muskegon. She was born July 2, 1910 in Shelbyville, MO to Edward & Daisy (Gould) Douglass and has resided in the Muskegon area the past 76 years. Velma had been employed at Teledyne Continental Motors for 24 years prior to her retirement in 1971. She enjoyed collecting dolls, gardening and loved animals. On June 5, 1937 she married Russell J. McPhall and he preceded her in death on November 8, 1984. She was also preceded in death by her parents, 1 step-daughter, Janice Hunter; 3 sisters and her great-grandson, Norman Southland. SURVIVORS include 2 children, Patricia Alexander of Muskegon and Michael (Linda) McPhall of Norton Shores; 1 step-daughter, Claudette (Rex) Eberly of Yorktown, VA; 6 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 21 great-great-grandchildren; 7 step-grandchildren; 11 step-great-grandchildren and 1 step-great-great-grandchild. Private family services will be held with entombment in Evergreen Mausoleum. MEMORIAL GIFTS to Noah Project Care Center (5205 Airline Hwy.) or charity of choice will be appreciated.
