Vera M. Kufel's Obituary
Mrs. Vera M. Kufel, age 100, passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2009 in Grand Haven. She was born April 17, 1909 in Onaway, MI to John and Lillian (Painter) Murdock, and resided in the area for the past 80 years. Mrs. Kufel was a realtor for 20 years at Wurtz Realty, before retiring in 1983. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Muskegon, and a member of the Lincoln Golf Course for 30 years. On June 17, 1939 she married Henry Kufel, and he preceded her in death in 1969. SURVIVORS include daughter, Bonnie (Dennis) Klont of Grand Haven; 3 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and sister, Rosamond “Mondi” Ramey of Muskegon. Mrs. Kufel was also preceded in death by sisters, Vivian Murdock, Doris Peters, Nellie Osborn; and brother, Fred McClary. MEMORIAL SERVICES will be 3PM Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at First Presbyterian Church (2577 Wickham Dr.) with Rev. Dr. Fred R. Halde officiating.
