Verle R. "Lunk" Johnson's Obituary
Verle Robert “Lunk” Johnson of Ravenna, age 69, passed away Monday, March 6, 2023 in the same home he was born in. Lunk was born to Vearl Robert and Doris Blanche (Sandy) Johnson on January 24, 1954. He worked for Russ Miller at the Paul C. Miller’s gravel pit as a mechanic for many years. Lunk was an excellent mechanic and enjoyed many years of racing and was known in the racing community as #70. Lunk is survived by Connie Wilburn; daughter, Kristie Berry; step-sons: Zeb and Judd Fialek; several grandchildren; sister, Sandra Haan; and nieces: Mindee (Scott) Wood and Melissa Starr. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Deb Johnson; and step-sons: Jamie and Tom Fialek. A celebration of Lunk’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family to offset funeral expenses will be appreciated.
