Vern L. "Whitey" Fairfield's Obituary
Mr. Vern Louis (Whitey) Fairfield, age 80, went to be with his Lord early Monday morning, September 26, 2005. He was born November 1, 1924 in Wineger, Wisconsin and lived in the Muskegon area for most of his life. He worked as a truck driver for Blue Arrow Truck Line before retiring, was a four year Marine veteran of WWII, a member of Fifth Reformed Church, and enjoyed fishing and bowling. On December 18, 1946 he married Annajean Marine. SURVIVORS include his wife Annajean; 4 children, David (Julie) Fairfield of Petosky, Michael (Donna) Fairfield of Muskegon, Daniel (Charlene) Fairfield of Muskegon, Barbara (Jim) Elliott of Muskegon; a former daughter-in-law, Kay Fairfield of Muskegon; 9 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Cody; 6 brothers and sisters. SERVICES will be 11:00 AM Thursday at Fifth Reformed Church, 2330 Holton Rd., with Rev. Norman Swier officiating. Burial will take place at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. VISITATION at
