Vernon "Bun" Place's Obituary
Vernon Edward “Bun†Place age 89, died January 19, 2013 at the Oaks in Muskegon, MI.
Bun was born on February 28, 1923 in Ravenna Township, MI to the late Harvey and Anna E. (Thompson) Place. He served in the United States Navy from 1945 to 1946.
Bun is survived by: Brother In-Law: Bernard Dirkes of Muskegon, 1 Sister in-law: Dorothy Place of Ravenna. Several nieces and nephews also survive. A very special niece Teddi Place for all the care and compassion she gave Bun for many years.
Bun was preceded in death by his Parents, Sister Ruth Dirkes, Brothers: Leon, Clifford and Max Place.
Funeral Services for Vernon E. Place will be conducted on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at 11:00am at the Throop Funeral Home of Ravenna with Pastor Don VanSlyke officiating. Burial will be in Ravenna Township.
The family will be at the Throop Funeral Home in Ravenna to greet friends on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00pm.
