Vernon Jones' Obituary
Mr. Vernon Jones, age 68, passed away Saturday, May 5, 2007. He was born June 28, 1938 in Ravenna, MI to Ray and Dorothy (Eason) Jones. Mr. Jones worked at Clarke Floor Machine and National Fruit Products until retiring in 1995. He loved fishing and hunting with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and spending time with his family. On May 14, 1960 he married Patricia Ehrig in Muskegon and she survives him along with 4 children, Barbara (Michael) Dobb, Sharlene (Joseph) Pant, Brenda Maginity and Bradley Jones all of Muskegon; 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He is also survived by 2 brothers Dale (Peaches) Jones of Falls Church, VA and Lowell Jones of Ozark AL. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters and 2 brothers. with Pastor Bill Randall officiating. Visitation will be 2-4PM and 6-8PM Tuesday. Burial will be held at Egelston Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family has asked to consider memorials in honor of Vernon to the Muskegon Rescue Mission, Harbor Hospice or a Memorial Fund to the family.
