Veronica Jean Fairris' Obituary
Veronica Jean Fairris, age 72, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 6, 2020 at the Poppen Residence. She was born on July 22, 1948 to James and Barbara (Somers) Fraser in Muskegon. Veronica (Ronni) was multi-skilled working in healthcare with medical records, doctor billing, and scheduling at Mercy University Park. Decorating yard and home was her constant as she had clever taste in ornaments for both. She loved planting flowers, feeding the birds, gardening, and she always knew the seasons to plant. The family’s feline & golden retriever were always affectionately cared for by her, and she made homemade meals & desserts standard. Surveying the trend of investigative clips in the bigfoot topic was something she enjoyed while pondering a trial expedition herself. Ronni always kept up visits with and enjoyed her siblings and parents, nieces & nephews, and unconditionally loved her son & daughter. She beat cancer for over 20 years after treatment and now leaves a vacancy in our lives...she is sorely missed by many.
Veronica is survived by her two children Tricia Hale and Brett Benson; her four grandchildren, Damion, Nicholas, Tasha, and Ace; mother, Barbara Fraser; siblings, Kathy (Dan) Price, Carol (Jerry) Meisch, Beth (Steve) Arnold, Greg (Colleen) Fraser, Julie¬ (Douglas) Moyer; stepchildren, Brook Wright and Amanda Fairris. Preceded in passing by husband, Robert Fairris; father, James Fraser; brother, Nicholas Fraser; sister-in-law, Patricia Fairris; mother and father-in- law James & Ruth Ann Fairris; brother-in-law, Ronald Fairris; and son-in-law, Wylie Hale.
Due to current health restrictions, a memorial for Veronica will take place later in 2021. For a more lasting memory, donations in Veronica's name can be made to the family. Arrangements entrusted to The Lee Chapel of The Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St. Norton Shores, MI 49444.
