Veronica Jean Rush's Obituary
Mrs. Veronica Jean Rush, age 79, passed away in Muskegon, Michigan on Saturday, March 29, 2025. She was born in Muskegon on January 18, 1946 to Michael and Lottie (Obzut) Goryl. From a young age, Veronica and her sister Lillian were raised by their loving guardians, Michael and Pauline Minarovic. Veronica graduated from Muskegon High School, where she found joy in singing in the choir. Throughout her life, Veronica cherished activities such as bowling, playing BINGO, tennis, and ice skating. She was deeply devoted to her Catholic faith and was a life-long member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church. Veronica is survived by her siblings, Adeline Beckley, Pauline (Edward) Skocelas, Theresa Lednicky, Patricia Wilson, Joseph Goryl, Lillian Deyer, and Kathleen (Robert) Williams; many nieces and nephews, including her special niece and guardian, Ann Pendery. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Rush; infant son, John Alan Rush; brother, Eugene Goryl; and siblings-in-law, Ruth Goryl, Bill Beckley, Joseph Lednicky, and Arlene Goryl. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be celebrated 11:00 AM Friday, April 4, 2025 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 1716 6th Street, Muskegon, Michigan 49442 with the ROSARY prayed at 10:15AM.
