Vickie L. Chase's Obituary
Vickie Lynne Chase, age 67, passed away at home on Thursday, March 14, 2019. She was born on July 31, 1951 to Elvin and Valeria (Curreli) Priest in Muskegon. Vickie worked at Ridgeview Industries as a Manufacturing Supervisor until she retired in 2015. On January 8, 1977, she married Richard Chase in Muskegon and he preceded her in death on October 3, 2005. She was a lifelong member of V.F.W. Post 446. Vickie enjoyed going antiquing, kayaking and working in her yard on her flower garden. Most of all, Vickie enjoyed her time spent with her family. She is survived by her daughter, Jodi (Michael) Phipps; step-children, Vickie Grider, Kimberly Carrigan, Richard (Sheryl) Chase and Patty (Don) Johnson; 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; brother, Elvin (Barb) Priest, Jr; sisters, Rita (Bob) Truax, Karen (Dale) Bergman, Patricia (Bob) Gustafson, Kathy (Rick) Whipple and Pauline (Tom) Balder; brother-in-law, Randy Anderson; several nieces and nephews and their families; and special friends, Suzie, Brenda, Carol, Denise and Maggie. Along with Richard, Vickie was also preceded in death by her step-daughter, Dixie Chase; parents; and sisters, Bonnie Priest and Paulette Anderson. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, March 19 at 11AM at Fellowship Reformed Church (4200 Apple Ave., 49442) with Pastor Mike VanKampen officiating. Visitation with the family will be Monday, March 18 from 5-8PM at The Sytsema Chapel, 737 E. Apple Ave., 49442, 231-726-5210.
