Vickie Marie Paszkowski's Obituary
Vickie Marie (DeJohn) Paszkowski, beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, and sister, peacefully gained her angel wings with her children by her side on July 8, 2025, at 72 years old.
Vickie will forever be remembered for her kind heart and the love and loyalty she showered on her children. Vickie’s life was a radiant testament to kindness, faith, and unconditional love. She dedicated her days to caring for those she loved, offering warmth, wisdom, and laughter to all who knew her. Her spirit was a source of strength and comfort, and her home was a sanctuary for family and friends alike. Every day, without fail, she would call her son, Steve, at 11 am, and every night she would call her granddaughter, Serenity, at 8 pm and her daughter, Stacy, at 9 pm to pray together. The very best parts of her life were those that she spent with her family, whom she adored.
Vickie was a graduate of Mona Shore High School. Starting at the age of 14 and for many years to follow, she worked at the family restaurant, the A&W, on Airline Road. Her home-baked goodies and friendship bread were always welcomed treats. She was also a big race car fan, spending most weekends at the track.
She will be deeply missed. Her nurturing heart touched many lives, leaving an enduring legacy of compassion and Grace. The family extends heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support in honoring Vickie’s memory. May we each be inspired to carry forward her example of kindness and care for others. May her soul find rest and her memory be a blessing to all. She will be missed by us all until we meet again in heaven.
Vickie is survived by her children, Steve (Holly) DeJohn and Stacy (Kathy) Riley; grandchildren, Maegan DeJohn, Lucas Hilton, Kayleigh Simons, Alexis Simons, Steven Simons, Scott Thomas Sutton, Serenity Conklin, and Bobby Conklin; great-grandchildren, Aurora Batt, and Scarlett Batt; brothers, Terry DeJohn and Leslie (Jimmy) Tate; sisters, Cindy Updike and Sherry (Clarence) Morgan; special person, Linda Baldwin; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her sisters, Gerry Bailey and Debbie Tate.
A memorial service for Vickie will be held Monday, July 14, 2025, at 2:00 pm at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St, Norton Shores, MI 49444.
