Mr. Victor D. Vantrepott's Obituary
Victor Donald Vantrepott, age 96, passed away Sunday evening, December 14, 2014. He was born November 18, 1918 in Bicknell, IN to Alfred and Clara (Brault) Vantrepott. Victor was the owner/operator of Vantrepott Grocery on the corner of Getty and Marquette for many years. After he sold the business, he went to work for Scott Meats before retiring at the age of 85. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed fishing and hunting. On June 20, 1938 he married Theressa M. Royston in Muskegon and she preceded him in death on February 23, 1969. SURVIVORS include three children: Victor Thomas Vantrepott of Muskegon, Judith Muskovin of Hudsonville, Susan (Daniel) McNeal of Fort Myers, FL; daughter-in-law, Mary Vantrepott of Grand Haven; five grandchildren: Jimmy (Amy) Vantrepott, Jennifer (Scott) Adams, Dana McNeal, Daniel “Robby” McNeal, Vicky (Bret) Ziel; seven great-grandchildren: Ashley, Allison, and Jacob Vantrepott, Jack and Dominic Adams, Lucas Lemm; and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by a son, James Vantrepott; two brothers; and two sisters. The family would like to thank all the staff at Oak Crest of Spring Lake for their many years of caring along with Hospice of North Ottawa. SERVICES for Mr. Vantrepott will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, December 18, 2014, at The Sytsema Chapel, 737 Apple Ave., (231) 726-5210, with Rev. Gerald Hagans officiating.
