Our hearts are breaking for Vic's family. He was such a warm, friendly and cheerful guy. Dad knew him from when they were in high school - Vic at Kalkaska, Dad at Manton - and VIc was very dear friend to him. His laugh, smile and outgoing personality will be missed by many. Lifting you all in prayer.

One of my childhood memories is of watching my Dad (Tom Holmes) & Vic playing fast pitch softball. Those were the days. Our families intertwined as Steve, Barb & I grew up. High school, softball & then Blake & my son, Shawn playing little league together. And our Dads were there w/proud Grandpa smiles (& advice) for them. Wow! I will never be able to think of my Dad w/o thinking of Vic too. Vic was loved & will be missed very much. Cindy Holmes
Terry, Steve and Barb, so sorry to hear of Vic's passing. He was a great guy. I have so many memories of Vic in the neighborhood, and at the Shell station. I can still see him at the golf course or at one of the Laker Athletic dances. He was such a very special person. I'm sure he will be having coffee with my Dad and talking gas prices. I will be thinking of you all during this very difficult time.

Terry, I am so sorry for your loss. Vic was such a wonderful man. I always admired the love and respect he had for you. He always offered good advice when I had problems with my car ( when I was a kid) and directed me to to do the right thing. And his smile, I loved his smile. A lot of people didn't see it often. He seemed to be serious. But, when he saw you come in the room, he SMILED! You two were a very special pair.
Terry, Sorry to hear about Vic. When he still owned Model Shell in Spring Lake, our Canada fishing group would rent a trailer from Vic, and he always gave us a discount/flat rate for the rental. He was very generous with our group. Harold Schmidt
