Mrs. Victoria S. Gunter's Obituary
Mrs. Victoria S. Gunter, age 62, passed away at her home on Tuesday, March 15, 2016. She was born in Saginaw, Michigan on May 21, 1953 to Joseph and Barbara (Novak) Kunik. Vicki graduated from Western Michigan University with a BS in Mathematics and Accounting. She started Gunter Accounting in 1984, successfully providing 30 years of faithful service to her community. Her son Ben continues on with the business today. Vicki enjoyed golfing, reading, and spending long weekends with her husband, Steve, and family at their cottage on Elk Lake. She was, for self-protection purposes, an avid University of Michigan and Detroit Tigers fan, and will be remembered for her legendary, and sometimes pointed, sense of humor. On September 7, 1974, Vicki married Steven A. Gunter in Maple Grove, Michigan and he survives her along with their three children, Nikki Gunter, Ben (Kayce) Gunter and Tim (Alicia) Gunter; two granddaughters, Lexie and Tessa; her parents, Joseph and Barbara Kunik; two brothers, Joseph (Cay) Kunik and Kevin (Judy) Kunik; and one sister, Missy (Victor) Martinski. Her MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at St. James Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Peter Omogo presiding. VISITATION will be from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Monday, March 21, 2016 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., 231-798-1100 and from 10-11 AM Tuesday at church. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
