Victoria Johnson's Obituary
Victoria “Vicky” Johnson, age 84, passed away Thursday, April 30, 2026, in Grand Haven, MI. She was born on July 25, 1941, to Grant and Viola (Zimmerman) Hall. Vicky grew up in Grand Haven and was a lifelong resident.
After she graduated from high school, she went on to Nursing School and worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse until she retired in 1994. She married Louis Johnson on May 21, 1966, and together they spent 60 years making lasting memories. Vicky and Louis became foster parents shortly after they were married until they had children of their own.
Vicky enjoyed knitting and sewing in her free time, but she loved to spend as much time as she could with her family. Her grandchildren meant so much to her and she was always available if you needed her help. She was a true caregiver, not only at work but at home as well. She loved to make people laugh and make light of situations or things that were sometimes hard otherwise. She will be remembered for seeing the good in things and always wanting to make people smile.
She is survived by her husband, Louis; two children, Katheryn (David Sibley) Dennings, and Louis Johnson Jr. (Annette); seven grandchildren, David, Conner, Selena, Matthew, Willard, Nathan, and Grace; 16 great grandchildren; two sisters, Karen Ralya, and Dianna Murray; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; one nephew, Martin Howard; and two brothers-in-law, Buck Howard and Bill Murray.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM,Friday, June 19, 2026 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 527 Taylor Ave., Grand Haven, MI 49417. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
