Vinci B. Domanchuk's Obituary
Mrs. Vinci B. Domanchuk of Fruitport, age 88, passed away Friday, July 10, 2015. She was born July 21, 1926 in Chicago to Mariano and Jennie (Arnone) Fricano. On April 29, 1950 she married Joseph Domanchuk, who preceded her in death on May 17, 2008.
Vinci was a teletype setter for the Grand Haven Tribune for many years, before retiring in 1993. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Spring Lake. Vinci was proud of her Italian heritage and was an excellent cook. She loved her family get-togethers. Vinci enjoyed all types of music and sang in the Sweet Adelines. Traveling with her sisters-in-law was a true enjoyment, and she especially loved visiting her grandchildren in Arizona.
Vinci is survived by two daughters, Diane (Mark) Tobin of Middleville, Deborah (Steve) Ellis of Arizona; three sons: David (Cindy) Domanchuk of Grand Haven, Dan (Therese) Domanchuk of Muskegon, and Dennis Domanchuk of Fruitport; six grandchildren: Andrea (Matthew) Mahoney and Allison Prisby, Marc and Eric Ellis, Jaime (Julie Beamish) Mulford and Kathryn (Sean) Shiels; great-granddaughter, Ava Shiels, and brother, Joseph (Brenn) Fricano of Muskegon. Vinci was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Jaclyn Domanchuk, and her infant brother.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 15 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church (406 E. Savidge St.). Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, July 14 from 4-6 PM at VanZantwick, Bartels, Kammeraad of Spring Lake. Interment will be at Lake Forest Cemetery.
