Vinda Kay Wilson's Obituary
Vinda Kay Wilson, age 64, passed away Wednesday, November 28, 2018. She was born August 30, 1954 in Ft. Hood, TX to Cooley and Irene (Smith) Cowherd and lived in the Muskegon area most of her life. On August 27, 1977, she married Willie L. Wilson in Muskegon. Vinda had worked 13 years in the Dietary Department of Mercy Hospital. She later worked 10 years as a team leader for Concord Plastics and retired in 2009. Vinda attended Emmanuel Tabernacle Church of God in Christ. SURVIVORS include her husband, Willie Wilson; 3 children, Kamika Wilson, Willie (Nicole) Wilson, Felisha (Norris) Roberts; 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Johnny Cowherd; 1 sister, Ester Piersall; 1 special sister-in-law, Debra Williams-Melton; special friends, Joycie Wright, Mary Massey, Wanda Kendrick, and Larry Dent. Vinda was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers, Bill and Mike Cowherd. VISITATION will be held 5-8 PM Friday, December 7, 2018 with a Family Hour beginning at 7:00PM at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., (231) 798-1100. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Emmanuel Tabernacle Church of God in Christ (1885 S. Getty St.) with Elder Andre McClanahan officiating.
